When something shrinks it goes from regular size to something much smaller. Some clothes, for example, shrink in the dryer and should only be hung to dry.

Having a picnic is a favorite summer activity. When you plan a picnic, you prepare foods that are easy to eat and put them in a basket or cooler. Picnics are sometimes held in parks. Along with the basket of food, people usually take a blanket so they can sit on the ground comfortably, without getting dirty. If you were planning a picnic, what would you take with you?

When something is light, it is not very heavy. A feather, for example, is very light. Can you think of a few things that are as light as a feather?

When you have had a busy day, where you have worked hard, it is really nice to find a way to relax. Some people like to sit down and read a book, or watch tv to relax, other people prefer to lay down and listen to music. What are a few of your favorite things to do to relax?

It is important to take turns when doing activities with other children. In Kindergarten for example, your teacher will ask you to take turns when you play on a particular toy, or when you want to ride the swing at recess.

Have you ever been to see a doctor? When you go to visit a doctor or pediatrician, he or she will ask you to step on a scale to see how much you weigh. A scale is a machine that tells you how heavy something is, and oftentimes doctors need to weigh their patients to make sure they are healthy.

Necesitarías cosas como guantes, palas, una gorra, una regadera, y semillas o plantas. Al juntar todas las cosas que necesitas para empezar, te estas preparando. ¡De la misma manera en la que te estas preparando para aprender cosas nuevas en el Kínder usando el programa de Rusty and Rosy Learn with Me cada día!

Have you ever noticed how worms move? Do they have legs to walk on? They don’t, do they?So worms have to use their whole body to wiggle around and move from place to place.

Anytime you start a new task or project, there are things you need to gather to prepare. Can you think of what you would need to plant a garden? You would need things like gloves, shovels, maybe a hat, a watering can, and seeds or live plants. By gathering all the things you need to get started, you are getting ready. Just the way that you are getting ready  to learn new things in Kindergarten by using the Rusty and Rosy Learn with Me program every day!
